Description

The excellent Sangiovese grape, predominant in the Romagna region, gives us a wine with intense red colour and violet glints.

The nose shows hints of maraschino, red currant and mineral notes.

The wine has medium body and delicate tannis

Recipe

Tomato and Basil Pasta

Ingredients:

  • 400g spaghetti
  • 4 ripe tomatoes, diced
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Parmesan cheese, for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Cook spaghetti according to package instructions. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water.
  2. In a pan, heat olive oil and sauté garlic until fragrant. Add tomatoes and cook until softened.
  3. Toss cooked pasta in the tomato sauce. Add reserved pasta water if needed for consistency.
  4. Season with salt, pepper, and fresh basil. Garnish with Parmesan and serve hot.
