Beef Stew
Ingredients:
- 1kg beef chuck, cubed
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 carrots, sliced
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 cups beef stock
- 1 cup red wine
- 2 sprigs thyme
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions:
- Heat olive oil in a pot. Sear beef cubes until browned on all sides. Remove and set aside.
- Sauté onion, carrots, and garlic until softened. Deglaze with red wine.
- Return beef to the pot, add beef stock and thyme, and simmer for 2 hours until tender.
Tip: Serve with crusty bread or creamy polenta for a hearty meal.
