This Month: Bordeaux & Loire Valley

This May, The Grand Tour takes you through two of France’s most iconic wine regions - the refined châteaux of Bordeaux and the charming river valleys of the Loire.

In Bordeaux, centuries-old estates produce elegant reds layered with dark fruit, cedar, earth and spice. From the structured wines of the Médoc to softer, generous Right Bank styles, this is classic French wine at its most timeless.

Further north, the Loire Valley offers a completely different expression of France - fresh, vibrant and effortlessly drinkable. Think crisp Chenin Blanc, mineral-driven Loire whites, delicate rosé and lighter reds made for long lunches and warm afternoons.

Together, these regions capture two sides of French wine culture: sophistication and simplicity, grandeur and ease. Best enjoyed slowly, preferably with good food and even better company.
